Who

We Are...

"We are family." In 1981, a small group of people with a vision for a charismatic church in the greater Lowell area began to meet in homes, moving to different locations as the group grew in size. In April of 1981, Community Christian Fellowship (CCF) was established by Raffoul Najem, John Purpura, and Elvira Whitcomb. In 1987, CCF was officially incorporated and the rest is a rich and beautiful history!

Vision

Our vision is to be an international, charismatic church family and community of spirit-filled believers who love God loud and others as themselves.

We are committed to reaching the lost and serving the needs of people locally and globally and raising disciples who are rooted in God’s Word, planted in His house, and fruitful in every good work.

Mission

Called Out,
Sent Out

We exist to call people out of the kingdom of darkness into God's Kingdom of light. Through Jesus Christ, people are set free, and with the help of the local church, they are sent to call others into the light.

At CCF, we believe...

  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only born Son of God, fully God and fully man, born not made, of one essence with the Father by whom all things were made. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His victorious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God, and His return in power and glory.

    (John 10:33, Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:35, Hebrews 4:15, 7:26, John 2:11, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, John 11:25, 1 Corinthians 15:4, Mark 16:19, Acts 1:1, and Revelation 19:11)

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God.

The Scriptures are the only sufficient rule for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

  • The Scriptures reveal that the one true God exists eternally in three persons: the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person has distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

    (Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 1:3-14)

  • We believe that God the Holy Spirit brings glory to the Father and the Son. He applies the work of Christ to believers and distributes spiritual gifts to every believer according to His sovereign good pleasure for the purpose of building up the body of Christ. He is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, the seal of our salvation and the guarantor of our inheritance in Christ (John 14:16-17; 16:14; Acts 5:3; Rom. 8:14-17; Eph. 1:13-14).

  • We believe that after the original sin of Adam and Eve, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Mankind is in need of salvation. We are redeemed and justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and only by God's grace and through faith alone are we saved.

  • Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus, obligatory upon every believer, wherein he is immersed in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, as a sign of his fellowship with the death and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of giving himself up to God to live and walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-5; 1 Cor. 12:13).
